Committees
Learn about our committees and how to get involved
Nine active volunteer committees play an vital role and provide leadership to the Association. Committees are subject matter experts, dive deep into projects and initiatives, and vet ideas. Once a committee has a decision, a recommendation is made to the Board for consideration and/or approval. Per Association’s bylaws, committees are made up of three members, including the Chair, as well as a Board member liaison to improve communication and succession.
Architectural Review
Manages the approval process for all exterior improvements to Cedar Flat homes. Please review the ARC Guidelines and Application for specific information long before you begin an exterior renovation or improvement project on your home.

Communication and Technology
Ensures information is readily available to Association members, manages the CedarFlat.org website and responsible for Association branding.

Covenants
With the assistance of management, administers Association CC&Rs and Rules and Regulations and investigates and follows through on non-compliance reports and issues .

Finance
Responsible for oversight of the association’s financial transactions and records created by the management company in accordance with state laws. Assists the management company in preparing and submitting for approval the Association’s annual budget to the Board of Directors.

Forestry
Responsible for identifying dead and dying trees in Cedar Flat common areas including road easements and obtaining qualified tree removal quotes for each project. Also, works with management to alert homeowners to dead and dying trees on their private property, providing information and quotes for removal if necessary. Is response for ensuring CFIA remains a Firewise community.

lakefront
Stewards of and assists with the maintenance and improvement of the Association’s lakefront property including the beach, pier, picnic and recreation area, and non-motorized vessel storage racks and system. Annually, in the spring, organizes and facilitates a lakefront clean-up event where homeowners volunteer. Recommends for Board consideration Lakefront rules and regulations, Lakefront security, and other items that impact this cherished and co-owned by all homeowners amenity.

Mooring Field
Responsible for facilitating the administration of the Community Mooring Field Participation Plan including mooring field expansion, buoy maintenance, and annual buoy lottery process.

RENTAL COMMITTEE
Works with management on all things related to both short-term rentals and long-term rentals in the neighborhood. Also responsible for recommending to the Board of Directors the annual short-term rental fee, which is charged annually to property owners that short-term rent (30 days or less) all or a portion of their property.

RoadS (and snow removal)
Responsible for overseeing and assisting the management company with the HOA’s private road maintenance, road improvements, road BMP maintenance, and snow removal on roadways upon approval of the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
